Overview

Moto G50 5G

The Motorola Moto G50 delivers 5G connectivity at a very affordable price. In fact, it is one of the cheapest 5G smartphones on the market today and it may stay that way for quite some time.

It may qualify as one of the best sub-£200 smartphones of the year given that it also offers some decent specs. It has a durable, plastic build and a rear fingerprint scanner on the side of the device and a 6.5-inch LCD screen.

It is powered by the Snapdragon 480 CPU chipset and while it may struggle juggling plenty of apps at the same time, it does the basics very well. Gaming is solid for the price, if unremarkable.

The triple camera set-up works well, allowing for users to shoot in 48MP and outperforms its price tag, particularly with the addition of its 2MP macro camera. It does also come with a night-mode feature which works pretty well.

Where it does shine, though, is with its battery life. The huge 5,000mAh battery is excellent and outperforms several flagships by lasting two days with frequent use. Alongside this is 10W fast-charging which admittedly isn’t the quickest, but genuinely doesn’t need to be for a sub-£200 phone.
