Overview
Samsung Galaxy S22
The Samsung S22 is the cheapest of the three launched by the Korean smartphone vendor, and while it may be the lowest in price, it doesn’t give too much away in terms of specs.
At 6.1-inches, it is the smallest of the bunch but retains the excellent AMOLED 120Hz screen featured on the two higher-priced handsets. Covering that screen is the Gorilla Glass Victus+ which provides a premium level of durability.
It’s also the lightest of the bunch, weighing in at 167g.
It also keeps the Exynos 2200 chipset, the most powerful used by Samsung yet and doesn’t deviate in terms of its overall performance. Two versions of the device are available to users – 128GB/8GB RAM and 256/8GB RAM.
While the camera set-up doesn’t hit the 108MP heights of the Ultra version of the smartphone, it’s exactly the same as the S22+ - namely a 50MP triple camera set-up supported by a 10MP telephoto lens and a 12MP ultrawide lens.
The smartphone offers a slightly smaller battery than its siblings at 3700mAh, justifying its smaller size and weight, but this capacity is still more than enough to last over a day with moderate use. With that is 25W fast-charging, 15W wireless charging and 4.5W reverse wireless charging.
