Why choose a Three phone contract?
Three has more 5G spectrum than rivals, which could help it deliver higher speeds and greater reliability, making it a strong, future-proofed choice of network, especially as it also has ambitious 5G roll out plans.
Beyond that, Three also offers plans with unlimited data, so you can get the most out of your 5G phone.
And while you’ll need a 5G phone to use 5G, Three also offers a number of good-value SIM Only plans if you already have a handset that you’re happy with.
Plus, Three has won numerous awards, such as being named Best Network for Roaming at the Uswitch Mobile Awards 2020, so you can be sure it’s a top choice.
Check Three 5G Coverage
You can use Wi-Fi Calling and 4G Calling on Three (with supported handsets).
The network also offers extensive free roaming (more on which below), plans that come 5G-ready at no extra cost, and competitive prices.
All new Three plans, whether Pay Monthly or SIM Only, allow you to roam for free in 71 destinations at no extra cost. And you’re not limited to Europe, as the likes of the US, Australia and New Zealand are included too.
If you need to travel somewhere that’s not included, then you can purchase a Data Passport, giving you unlimited data for £5 per day in numerous countries.
Three lets you tether with any or all of your data, so you can get the likes of laptops and tablets online by creating a Wi-Fi network with your phone. It’s a similar idea to what a broadband device would allow, though if you’re doing this regularly you might still want to look into one of them – or opt for a plan with unlimited data.
How can I keep my number when switching?
All you have to do is get your PAC code, then fill out Three’s number transfer form. You can get your PAC code either by calling up your old network to ask for it, or by texting the word ‘PAC’ and your date of birth (in the format DDMMYY) to 65075.
