If you love the iPhone 13 or the iPhone 12 then you’ll love the iPhone 14 even more, as this is a similar phone in a lot of ways, but it polishes the iPhone 13’s features to a shine, and adds some new features and upgrades too.
These include upgraded cameras which use new sensors to deliver improved performance – with a particular focus on low light capabilities. So now if you want to take a photo in a dim room or outside once the sun has set, it will still come out crisp and detailed.
That’s true whether you use the 12MP main, 12MP ultra-wide, or 12MP selfie camera. And if you’re more into recording videos then there are upgrades there too, with the highlight being a new Action mode, that keeps footage steady even when you’re rapidly moving.
Apple has also upgraded the battery on the iPhone 14, so now you’ll get up to 20 hours of life when watching videos on the phone. That means you can have the screen on and displaying content all day and almost all night before it will need a charge.
The iPhone 14 also has an excellent screen. It’s a 6.1-inch 1170 x 2532 one with 460 pixels per inch, so it’s fairly compact but the resolution is high, and it uses OLED, for superior contrast.
Other highlights of the iPhone 14 include a very powerful A15 Bionic chipset, a Crash Detection feature that alerts emergency services if you’re in an accident, and a stylish, durable build – that’s also more water resistant than most phones.
