Overview
The Netgear Nighthawk M7 Pro is a high-end mobile broadband router from Netgear, slotting in above the likes of the Netgear Nighthawk M3 and the Netgear Nighthawk M6.
What makes it so high end? Well for one thing it’s capable of 5G download speeds of up to 6Gbps, which is way, way beyond what most rival devices can manage. It’s also more than mobile networks can typically manage, so don’t expect to achieve those speeds in the real world right now, but it ensures this thing is extremely future proofed too.
On top of that the Netgear Nighthawk M7 Pro also supports more Wi-Fi bands than most mobile broadband routers, with not just the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands supported, but also the 6GHz band. And it supports Wi-Fi 7 too, so its Wi-Fi credentials are up to date.
There’s no shortage of ports here either, with the Netgear Nighthawk M7 Pro having an Ethernet port for wired connections, a USB-C port, and even two antenna ports, for those times when you need to give the signal a boost.
Plus, it can get up to 64 devices connected to the internet, which – since this is primarily designed for travel – is probably more than you’d ever need, but means it could work as a temporary Wi-Fi solution in a home or office too.
And it has a large 5,040mAh battery, which can deliver up to 13 hours of use or ten days of standby time, so you won’t need to worry about it needing a charge mid-way through a busy day.
All that, and it also has a handy 2.8-inch colour touchscreen, which is useful during setup and for monitoring things like the battery level, and all of this tech is packed into a remarkably small package, that’s ready to be chucked in a bag and taken on your next trip.
