IEEE 5G Silicon Valley Summit

5G is set to be a key component of the Internet of Things, as well as the future of mobile data in general, and a new summit will bring industry experts, researchers and professionals together to talk about it.

The 5G summit is being held by the IEEE Communications Society of Silicon Valley at the Google campus in Silicon Valley on the 16th of November, and managed by the  event organiser.

It aims to provide a platform for industry leaders and researchers to collaborate and exchange ideas about new technologies which could help speed the development of 5G.

Attendees of the summit will be able to find out about the economics of mobile broadband that 5G networks will need to meet, how cost metrics will impact the design of key building blocks and how wireless communication researchers in industry and academia are framing and presenting the future of mobile communication with 5G technologies.

Speakers and participants at the 5G summit will include key industry leaders and influencers from companies such as AT&T, Google, Stanford, China Mobile, Cisco, Intel, Qualcomm, KeySight, Ericsson, Broadcom, Huawei and Bloomberg.

The summit could be enlightening for anyone working in or with an interest in a 5G future, as the use and importance of mobile data is huge and only going to grow.

For anyone wishing to attend, tickets and sponsorship spots are now available, with tickets coming in at $75 or $50 for members of the IEEE.

For those of us stuck on UK soil, the Summit will be live streamed and also recorded, allowing you to view it anywhere in the world.
