If you’re looking for a new mobile network then you have another option to consider now, as Revolut Mobile has just launched, and it sounds like it’s got quite a lot going for it.
Revolut – which is primarily a finance company – isn’t totally new to mobile, as it previously launched an eSIM-only plan aimed at travellers, but it’s now rolling out a complete domestic service.
So far there’s just one plan, which for an introductory price of £12.50 per month (rising to £14.99 a month if you sign up after the 30th of March, 2026), will give you unlimited 5G data, as well as unlimited minutes and texts.
You’ll also get a 20GB roaming allowance, which can be used not just in the EU but also in the US. That’s notable as not many networks include US roaming as standard.
Packed with extras and running on Vodafone's infrastructure
Plus, Revolut Mobile gives you access to a ‘Messaging Pass’ service, which provides low-bandwidth data for messaging and other apps when travelling to over 80 countries. So it should be a good choice for frequent travellers.
You also get a subscription to NordVPN thrown in, the ability to get a discount on the price of your plan by using RevPoints (the company’s loyalty programme), the ability to add up to three numbers to your plan, with additional numbers starting at £2 extra a month, and the ability to choose a ‘VIP number’ for £10 per month.
And Revolut Mobile runs on Vodafone’s infrastructure, so its UK coverage should be identical to Vodafone’s.
There are two things to be aware of though. First, Revolut Mobile’s speeds top out at 100Mbps, which while faster than you’ll probably usually need, is less than 5G would otherwise be capable of.
Second, its plans are initially only available to people who previously signed up to the waitlist – everyone else will have to wait until January to purchase one.
