Overview

The iPhone 12 is Apple’s first 5G iPhone, and it’s also super powerful with great cameras and loads of extra features.

  • 5G paired with an A14 Bionic chipset makes this one of the fastest phones on the planet
  • Includes a crisp, bright and vibrant 6.1-inch OLED screen
  • Cameras perform brilliantly in most lighting conditions
  • Tough Ceramic Shield protection means this phone won’t break as easily as most

The iPhone 12 is a landmark phone for Apple, as – along with the iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 12 Mini – it’s the first iPhone to support 5G. But the iPhone 12 is the standard model and will be the best choice for a lot of people.

Beyond blazing fast data speeds, the iPhone 12 also has massive amounts of power thanks to its A14 Bionic chipset. Tests suggest this outperforms 2020 Android chipsets, so this is one of the most powerful phones you can buy.

The iPhone 12 also has a bright, brilliant screen. It’s a 6.1-inch 1170 x 2532 OLED one with HDR10 support and up to 1200 nits of brightness, ensuring everything looks as good as possible.

The iPhone 12 additionally has both a 12MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide one, with each lens rivalling the best snappers on rival phones, and each performing superbly in low light too, so you can take great photos even in challenging conditions.

Apple has also made sure the iPhone 12 is built to last, as it has Ceramic Shield protection on the screen, which gives it more protection from falls than most phones, and it can survive more water too, as it’s rated for depths of up to 6 metres for up to 30 minutes.

The iPhone 12 also includes Face ID, wireless charging, MagSafe tech that allows you to magnetically attach accessories, up to 256GB of storage, and more. Plus of course it’s got the premium design you expect from Apple, with a glass back, a metal frame, and tiny bezels.
