The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is a bigger but slightly cheaper variant of Samsung’s flagship S21 smartphone.

It shares the same 120Hz FHD+ display as the regular S21 but is 0.2-inches larger across the diagonal, clocking in at 6.4-inches overall. The design doesn’t differ too much from the regular S21 either, with a matte-finish plastic across the rear of the device although it is on the lighter end, weighing just 177g.

It also boasts a triple camera set-up headlined by its 12MP sensor which works alongside its 8MP 3x optical zoom lens and another 12MP ultra-wide snapper.

Overall performance is exceptional, courtesy of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset that the S21 FE houses alongside the 6GB of RAM. It rivals higher priced competition in terms of speed and will likely continue to be as powerful until the next generation of smartphones are released.

Battery life is an identical capacity at 4,500mAh which lasts a full day with moderate usage although lags behind the powerful batteries offered by recently released flagships such as the iPhone 13 Pro.

With the S21 FE, Samsung has delivered the first crowd-pleasing device of the year and has strategically priced it at £699, making it one of the more accessible, powerful Samsung smartphones on the market today.
