Chance to checkout 5G on the EE Experiential Bus tour

EE Bus parked

EE is showing off the wonders of 5G technology via its Experiential Bus, and it's heading to numerous different locations around the UK over the next month.

In a similar vein to Huawei's 5G roadshow last year, the Experiential Bus provides a small sample of what an immersive experience 5G can provide, encouraging users to see how the technology can change their lives.

Latest 5G phones and kit

It's a double decker bus that's kitted out with all the latest 5G tech from the latest handsets and devices to headsets too. One such experience involves the use of an N.Real headset and device so that users can watch and experience content such as EE's recent ad campaign which featured a performance from Bastille and was broadcast over 5G. It's also possible to watch live BT Sport and Amazon Prime via the 5G within the bus, along with EE BAFTA ad footage.

It's the kind of event bus that seems like it'd appeal to all the family, right down to some gaming demonstrations too which again highlight the wonders of ultra-low latency. There's a 360 degree Wembley experience too for sports fans.

The sporting angle is further explored by an exclusive competition to win prizes including a pair of hospitality tickets to Manchester Utd v Southampton on 25 April, or a pair of tickets to the England v Italy match at Wembley Stadium on 27 March. Music fans have the chance to win a pair of tickets to an Eagles concert at Wembley on 29 or 30 August.

The bus experience is expected to take around 15 minutes with a first-come first-served basis going on.

It's already been to Spinningfields Square in Manchester on 18 and 19 February. The rest of its route comprises of:

Remaing tour dates

Glasgow - Arygle Street - 26, 27 February

Cardiff - St David's - 3, 4 March

Liverpool - One Paradise Place - 10, 11 March

London - Westfield White City - 17, 18 March

Birmingham - Bullring Rotunda - 24, 25 March

If you're keen to see why 5G is worth getting excited for, this seems like a good opportunity to take. It looks like it'll be a great demonstration of far more than just faster internet speeds.
