Moto Edge 30 5G

The world’s thinnest 5G smartphone, the Moto Edge 30 5G is an impressively spec’d mid-range mobile that’s ready to challenge premium phones at much higher price points.

At just 6.79mm thick and weighing only 155g, this sits very comfortably in the hand. Despite this it still rocks a 6.5-inch AMOLED with FHD+ resolution screen which can be seen from numerous viewing angles even in bright sunlight.

The most impressive thing about this crisp and clear display is its top-of-the range refresh rate. At 144Hz the screen refreshes 144 times a second making for a slick scrolling or gaming experience. Game playing and video watching is boosted by the addition of dual speakers which support Dolby Atmos audio – a big improvement on the earlier Edge 20 series.

The phone gets its grunt from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ SoC chipset, an impressive bit of kit that paired with the 8GB of RAM ensures a fast and responsive experience switching between apps.

Somehow, also packed into this svelte design is a triple-camera setup: a 50MP primary shooter, a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP depth camera. This makes it a more than capable point and shoot phone. The selfie shooter on the front is 32MP, providing much more detailed pics than other phones in this price bracket.

The 4,000mAh battery, coupled with the software optimization the phone uses, means it should last most users at least a day, some even a day and a half. The included 33W charging cable can fully juice up the phone in less than 90 minutes.
