Why choose Spusu 5G SIM Only?
Spusu is an MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) with the same 5G and 4G coverage as EE, meaning its coverage is widespread and its speeds are generally very high.
But Spusu sells its own selection of SIM Only plans, and these tend to cost a lot less than EE’s plans, while having their own perks and benefits.
Below, you’ll find everything you need to know about Spusu’s SIM Only plans.
Spusu 5G unlimited data
Spusu doesn’t sell any unlimited data SIM Only plans at the time of writing, but you can get up to 100GB, which should be more than enough for most people.
Spusu 5G coverage
Spusu’s UK coverage should be identical to EE’s, meaning over 99% 4G coverage and extensive 5G coverage too – with this improving all the time.
Spusu 5G speeds
Spusu’s 5G speeds should also be similar to EE’s, which means that going by independent tests the average and median download speeds should be in the range of between 100 and 250Mbps, while peak speeds may exceed 750Mbps.
Spusu 5G latency
You can also expect similar latency to EE on Spusu, which based on third-party tests should put its median 5G latency at around 30ms when unloaded, and 583.53ms when loaded. The lower the number the better with latency, and those figures are better than you can expect on 4G networks.
Added extras
One of the main extras you’ll get with a Spusu SIM Only plan is 500 international minutes that you can use to call the EU from the UK each month.
Beyond that, you can set a spending cap, there are no credit checks, and you have the option of an eSIM.
Data roaming
Spusu lets you roam across the EU and Switzerland at no extra cost with its SIM Only plans. However, there’s a variable fair use limit when roaming, with the specifics depending on the plan you’re on.
Tethering
Spusu lets you use as much of your data as you want to tether, so you can share your internet connection with other devices like laptops and tablets.
4G Calling and Wi-Fi Calling
Spusu’s plans also support 4G Calling, 5G Calling, and Wi-Fi Calling, so you’re not limited in what you can do on certain connection types.
How can I keep my number when switching?
To keep your number when switching to Spusu, just text the word ‘PAC’ to 65075 from the number that you want to keep. You’ll then be sent your PAC (Porting Authorisation Code).
Once that’s been texted to you, order your Spusu SIM plan, and enter your PAC during the order process. Or if you’ve already placed your order, you can contact Spusu’s customer service team to transfer your number.
Which size SIM will I get?
Unless you select an eSIM at checkout, Spusu will send you a 3-in-1 SIM card with your order. This includes SIM cards in standard, micro, and nano sizes, so you can just choose the one that fits your phone.
