Why choose a Sky Mobile phone contract?
Sky Mobile is a good choice for a lot of reasons. For one, it uses O2’s infrastructure, which means it has over 99% population coverage with 4G, meaning you can get fast mobile data in most places.
Sky Mobile is an even better choice if you’re already a Sky TV customer, as in that case you can get unlimited calls and texts for free with any plan.
The main extra offered by Sky Mobile is data rollover. This lets you roll over any unused data from one month to the next and store it for up to three years, so if you don’t use much data one month, you’ll have extra available the following one.
Additionally, Sky Mobile offers Wi-Fi Calling with select handsets, meaning you can call and text as normal over Wi-Fi, which is very useful if you’re ever somewhere with a Wi-Fi network but little or no phone signal.
Sky Mobile allows you to use all of your minutes, texts and data at no extra cost in over 30 EU and EEA countries. Heading further afield? Then for £5 per day you can access your UK data allowance in Australia, Canada, Christmas Islands, Cocos Islands, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Qatar, South Africa, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey (including Northern Cyprus) and the US.
Tethering (also known as a mobile hotspot, personal hotspot or portable hotspot) is included on all Sky Mobile plans and the only limit is your overall data allowance. That means you can use any or all of your mobile data to get other devices online.
How can I keep my number when switching?
To move your number to Sky Mobile, first activate your new Sky Mobile SIM card, then request your PAC from your old mobile network. You’ll then be able to submit a request online with Sky. Your number should be transferred the next working day if you make the request on a working day before 5PM.
